The Thief of Leipzig

The Thief of Leipzig” also takes us to the museum. Here, too, we become eyewitnesses to an intense contemplation between exhibition visitor and artwork. A gentleman dressed in grey and wearing a hat approaches a painted assemblage reminiscent of Claes Oldenburg, consisting of a plate decorated with meat, carrots, asparagus, peas and chips, which fills the wall of the museum. Only at second glance, on closer inspection, do we discover the stolen goods announced in the title, impaled on a fork, hiding behind the viewer’s back.
