After Leonardo da Vinci “Mona Lisa” (1503) – The Mona Lisa, probably the most famous work of art in the world, still triggers an incomparable rush of visitors today. Numerous speculations revolve around the person behind it, her enraptured smile triggers emotions. She has been abducted (1911), attacked (1956, 2009) and has inspired countless artists to create variations, alienations and reworkings. Waske’s Mona Lisa has three eyes, two noses and two mouths, and yet looks confusingly like the original.
